Wild Forest Estate Solo-Retreat

A quiet return to yourself

What if your retreat didn’t begin when you arrived—
but the moment you said yes to yourself?

At Wild Forest, our Solo Retreats are more than time away.
They’re a deep, spacious pause. A re-meeting.
A gentle field where you can soften, listen, and remember who you already are.

No pressure. No performance.
Just you—held by nature, presence, and care.

  • "The Wild Forest Estate is such a loving and enchanting place that will stay with me forever. I felt very comfortable and was able to relax very well and get energy back in the tranquility of the forest."

    Mirijam, November 2024

  • "This place heals. So blessed to have experienced this piece of paradise."

    Janis, March 2024

  • "It felt like my childhood imagination had come to life! I’ll never forget the surreal sense of peace—lying on the bed at sundown, all the doors open, floating in the trees, listening to the birds’ chorus before bed."

Some guests come with a question. Others come without knowing why—only that it’s time. All are welcome.

Some Details

  • We suggest arriving for at least three nights. In our experience, this gives you enough time to soften, settle, and let the noise fall away. But your retreat is yours. You can stay longer if you’d like—or shorter. Some guests come for a week. Others return for a second stretch after a first gentle taste. There’s no fixed timeline—just an open space for what you need. Whether you come for three nights or twelve, this is a place where time breathes.

  • Wild Forest is nestled in native bush near Trounson Kauri Park on the Kauri Coast of Aotearoa New Zealand. It’s quiet here. The birds are loud. The stars are clear. You’ll be staying in one of our simple, soulful spaces—designed for stillness, warmth, and just the right amount of comfort.

  • This is not a retreat you have to earn. You don’t need to be in crisis, or at a crossroads. You just need to feel the call.
Some guests come with big questions. Others come to rest. Many come because the world has been loud for too long.
If you’re longing for time with yourself—unstructured, undemanding, and held by nature—this retreat is for you.

  • You’ll be held in your own secluded accommodation, surrounded by forest, birdsong, and stillness. Each retreat space is designed for deep rest and solitude—with safety, comfort, and care at the heart of it. Many women tell us they feel safe here in a way they haven’t felt in years.

  • If you’d like, we can offer a gentle structure to support your days—walks, rest times, simple rituals. Or you can simply follow your own rhythm. There’s no right way to retreat.

  • Your scaffold is a kind of inner map—crafted from your reflections. It can begin to support you even before you arrive, and remain a companion after you leave. It holds the essence of what matters most to you, offering presence, clarity, and quiet guidance throughout your retreat journey and beyond.

Begin Here: A Conversation with Yourself

Before you book, we invite you to pause.
To feel. To notice.
To reflect.

This short questionnaire isn’t about giving us answers—it’s about giving yourself a moment to hear what’s stirring.

You’re welcome to send it to us if you’d like. When you do, we’ll hold your words with care and use them to gently shape your retreat—so what matters most to you can be quietly honoured throughout your stay.
Or simply fill it in for yourself, as a private reflection. Either way, it’s yours.

Many guests say this is where the retreat truly begins.

After the Retreat

The return is part of the retreat.

What begins in stillness doesn’t end when you leave.
The days that follow are part of the unfolding.

This space offers gentle invitations to help you integrate what you touched here—at your own pace, in your own way.
There is no pressure. Only presence.

Journaling Invitations

Quiet threads to meet you where you are.

A few days after your retreat, we’ll send a short set of reflection prompts.
They are not tasks—they are soft openings.
Crafted to help you carry what you found into your life, gently.

Examples:
– What did I remember about myself?
– What is asking to stay soft?
– How will I honour the silence I met?

A Letter to Yourself

A moment you don’t want to forget.

Before you leave, you’re invited to write a short note to your future self.
Something simple. Something you want to remember.
We’ll send it back to you a few weeks later—just as the world begins to rush again.

A quiet anchor. A reminder of who you are, beneath the noise.

A Quiet Circle

Stay close, if it feels right.

If you’d like to stay connected, we offer occasional seasonal reflections.
Not a newsletter—more like a pulse.
A way to return, if that feels nourishing.

You can join after your retreat. Only if it calls.
